Dynasty Muzik’s Jflow releases his first solo project, the ‘Soul Food’ mixtape. Mostly known for his work as 1/2 of the duo ‘The Money Maker$,’ Jflow, gives listeners a taste of his own unique style for the very first time. Jflow makes the most of the opportunity and shoulders the majority of the vocal and lyrical burden of the mixtape, with the exception of track #9 ‘Nothing to Lose,’ which features Dynasty Muzik founder Snacky Chan.

Leading off the mixtape is the music video for ‘24 Bars,’ directed by long-time friend and fellow Busan-bred MC ‘유명.’ The video begins with a verse from track #2 ‘Equal,’ while graffiti artist Billy ‘Dport’ Bob drops a bomb at the Sinchon/Ewha graf tunnel.

The cover, illustrated by Flostic, depicts a melting face which represents Jflow’s struggle with a disease called ‘lymphangioma,’ (임파혈관종) which effects the face. J also touches on the topic on track # 10 appropriately titled ‘Scarface.’

다이너스티 뮤직 소속의 Jflow가 첫번째 솔로 프로젝트인 믹스테잎 ‘Soul Food’를 발표했다. 이번 믹스테잎에서는 기존에 알려져있던 머니메이커즈로서의 J-Flow가 아닌 최초로 Jflow 자신만의 독특하고 유니크한 스타일을 선보였다. 또한 다이너스티 뮤직의 설립자인 스내키 챈이 함께한 믹스테잎 9번트랙 ‘Nothing to Lose’를 제외하고는 오직 그의 보컬과 가사로서 다른 피쳐링없이 홀로 믹스테잎을 만들어냈다.

믹스테잎 수록곡 중 ‘24 bars’ 뮤직비디오의 감독은 Jflow의 오랜 친구인 부산태생 MC ‘유명’이 맡아주었으며 그래피티 아티스트 Billy ‘Dport’ Bob이 신촌에 위치한 그래피티 거리에서 함께해주었다.

믹스테잎의 아트워크는 디자이너 겸 래퍼인 ‘Flostic’의 작품이며 항상 불치병과 싸워온 Jflow의 모습을 녹는 얼굴로 표현해냈다.
